This is the unbelievable art of Jim Denevan, whose giant works of art vary from sandy beaches to dry deserts. This one picture is interesting because of the spaces he creates and the feel changes depending on which tone you focus on. Here's more of his stuff: http://www.jimdenevan.com/

This started out as a thank-you note for a family friends and it turned into a pretty interesting sketch.

This symphony is also new in orchestra and it's not too bad, just pretty fast. In a few days we're having a grab bag on this piece. Grab bag is where our conductor chooses someone from each section and assigns them a few lines to play for everyone. This results in a grade and they're usually not very good grades.
